The Oneida Chapter, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, will present the American History Essay winners for grades 5-8 their awards on Saturday, February 8, at 10:30-12N in the fellowship hall of the New Hartford First United Methodist Church, 105 Genesee St, New Hartford, NY.
This Years topic: Pretend you are a boy or a girl during the colonial fight for freedom. Using historical facts, discuss how the war is affecting your life.
Winners receive a monetary award along with a certificate and medal. Each winner will read his/her essay.
We encourage you to bring your children, grandchildren and family to both support our young history students as well as to inspire others to honor the significant historical people, places, dates, and events that have shaped our values and legacy as Americans.
