The Utica and Mohawk Valley Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society will meet on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 7:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church on the corner of French and Burrstone Roads in the Town of New Hartford, NY.
There will be a business portion conducted by President Doug Preston with reports on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad, the restoration of New York Central Steam Switcher 6721, the annual banquet at the Roselawn in New York Mills, possible day and overnight bus trips plus many more activities and projects ahead for us in the months to come. After the break, many members will participate in the chapter's annual Show and Tell.
The members will bring items like railroad slides, vintage passenger timetables especially from the pre-Amtrak era, custom made model railroad items that they might have bought at flea markets, antique shows, train shows, garage sales, auctions or through e-bay even have had them as part of a growing collection of railroad memorabilia.
This meeting is open to anyone who is interested in railroads, railroad memorabilia collections and railroad history.
