UC's Geotalk Presents: Slovenia, Slovakia, and the Czech Republ

Many Americans visit the Czech Republic, but they usually do not travel beyond Prague. Few venture into the countryside and into the towns and homes where most people live. Americans rarely visit neighboring Slovakia and the High Tatra Mountains. And most Americans have no idea where Slovenia is. But take a trip off the beaten path, and you will discover stunning cultural and geological treasures that you could not imagine – unless you read National Geographic. Linda DeAmicis and Jan J. DeAmicis, professor of sociology, will give this lecture. It is free and open to the public and will be located in the William Conference Room in UC's DePerno Hall.
